ENGLISH LANGUAGE FELLOW, US STATE DEPARTMENT: ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROGRAMS - KOLKATA, INDIA
The English Language Fellow Program is the premier opportunity for experienced teachers of English to speakers of other languages (TESOL) to enact meaningful and sustainable changes in the way that English is taught abroad, and is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) with funding provided by the U.S. government. Through projects developed by U.S. Embassies in more than 80 countries, Fellows work directly with local teachers, students, and educational professionals to improve the quality of English language instruction offered at prestigious universities and other academic institutions.

As an ELL Coordinator at BASIS Bilingual School Shenzhen I collaborated with homeroom teachers in order to support students who are struggling with their language development and acquisition.

ACADEMIC AND PROGRAMS MANAGER
AND ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHER, BROOKLYN SCHOOL OF LANGUAGES
As the Academic and Programs Manager, I was in charge of managing teacher's weekly duties and record keeping. I planned and executed the Professional Development program at our school. I also was in charge of curriculum development, assessment development, and record keeping of pass/fail data of the school.

As an ESL teacher, I was responsible for teaching a variety of different proficiency levels, ranging from beginner to proficient, in both General English and Business English to adults and teens in order to help improve their language skills and gain confidence in English.
I taught group classes for both General and Business English, and also 1-to-1 private courses. During 1-to-1 private training, all materials were designed and tailored to meet the student's individual language goals. I have worked with professionals across various professional backgrounds during my 1-to-1 courses.

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL ESL/ENL TEACHER, CS 134 - NYC DEPT OF EDUCATION
As an elementary school ESL teacher, I was responsible for providing English Language support and development services students in grades K-5.
I provided both integrated ESL, where I was collaborating with the mainstream classroom teacher, and stand-alone ESL service, where I was responsible for designing my own curriculum and executing it in a small group setting. I worked with high-need students primarily immigrating from Western Africa, and Latin America.

ESL TEACHER AND TEACHING FELLOW, NYC TEACHING FELLOWS
As part of my fellowship for the New York City Teaching Fellows I co-taught 6th grade English Language Arts at the East Bronx Academy in Bronx, NY during their summer school program.

Also whilst teaching, I participated in a rigorous training program which was targeted towards preparing fellows for teaching in high-need populations in the NYC Department of Education. The focus of the 3 month training was on classroom management, lesson planning and strategies to improve student engagement and participation.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHER, ST. GILES INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL
As an ESL instructor at St. Giles School, I was responsible for teaching a variety of classes for the General English Program, Business English Platinum Program and 1-to-1 specialized program for adult English Language Learners.

At Bell Language School I taught a variety of grammar and conversation classes to adults. I also delivered a professional development workshop on listening activities and how to use songs in the classroom.
